The Ann Pappajohn Vassiliou Child Study Center (CSC) is a preschool for children ages two years nine months up to Kindergarten age. Named for an alumna and former trustee, the CSC was established in 1974. The program’s purpose is to provide a high quality education for preschoolers in the Chestnut Hill area and to offer a unique laboratory learning experience for Pine Manor College students. This quality preschool program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and licensed by the Commonwealth’s Dept. of Early Education and Care. Open 5 days per week, 7:30 am until 5:30 pm, we offer part time and full time schedules for families September through June. A comprehensive curriculum is presented each day with the primary focus on nurturing the young children and exposing them to a variety of materials to expand their knowledge.
The Child Study Center is located on the grounds of Pine Manor College, just minutes from route 9 in Chestnut Hill, MA. Three classrooms are housed in a beautifully renovated home situated next to an expansive playground. The Pre-kindergarten class maintains a class size of16 students ages 4 and 5 years and is supervised by two teachers. There are two groups for children ages 2 yrs. 9 months up to age 4. These classes also maintain a 1:8 teacher to student ratio and the class size is limited to no more than 16 students.
